After the tour of Edinburgh Castle, we got on a bus to go to Milngavie and the West Highland Way and stopped above the historic town of Stirling to visit Stirling Castle. The present castle was built in the 15th and 16th centuries and was a home to Scottish kings. We visited the great hall, the church and the wonderful recreation of the royal apartments.
