Meadow Mountain

Meadow Mountain

Saturday, I climbed Meadow Mountain in the Indian Peaks Wilderness on a hike led by Cheryl Ames.  It was overcast during the climb, and we had to work our way through about a foot of snow climbing steeply up to treeline.  There was no snow above treeline.  We entered Rocky Mountain National Park briefly near the top of the mountain, and from the top of mountain, at an elevation of 11,600 feet, we had a great view of Longs Peak.  By the time we got back to the trail head, the clouds had cleared.
