On September 20, I backpacked from East Vail to Gore Lake in the Eagles Nest Wilderness Area.  After setting up camp by the lake, I climbed to a high point where there were wonderful views all around. I was the only person on Saturday night camping at this beautiful lake set among rugged, broken terrain and peaks.  Sunday morning I hiked back down into the valley from the lake and did a side hike up to Red Buffalo Pass.
