Yesterday, I repeated the classic hike that climbs up Watrous Gulch and climbs over a high ridge with several mountain summits and down into Herman Gulch. When we reached treeline, we found that the tundra was covered with an inch of new snow. It was very windy and cold on top of the ridge. Still, the flowers were in bloom.
