The next day, we hiked back north up Horse Canyon, which is wide and open.  We turned east into Wolverine Canyon, which became narrower in spots, tightening to twenty feet at places.  The canyon walls were marvelous with deep red colors and alcoves, stripes and eroded holes.  There was an area with large pieces of petrified wood at the top of the canyon.
