Pangboche to Dingboche

We had a quiet day hiking from Pangboche to Dingboche, high above the Imja Khola river. Ama Dablam continued to dominate the scenery together with Cholatse and Taboche. Further on, Pokalde and Nangkar Tshang were dramatic to our north. Over a final rise, we saw the village of Dingboche at an elevation of 14,300 feet and could see Nuptse and Lhotse, together with the snow covered Island Peak up the valley of the Imja Khola river. We were far above the forests and we now saw Yaks at the beasts of burden. We stayed two nights at Dingboche to further acclimatize.
