Twin Lakes
The second day, we climbed gradually, past a lovely waterfall, to the top of the plateau. We hiked over the wide open, rolling country, above ten thousand feet in elevation, to the Twin Lakes which were invisible until we were upon them. We camped on a ridge above the lake in a small stand of trees. The Twin Lakes were set like jewels under the deep blue sky, where we could see for miles in all directions over the water which changed color with the evening light.
