Big Man Panel
On our hike on Tuesday, we climbed 200 feet above the canyon floor to see the Big Man Panel. The hiking past Polly’s Canyon was hot and difficult as we bushwhacked and found our way through thick vegetation. On Wednesday night we camped at Sheiks Canyon on a high bench where we could look down to the amazing Green Mask Ruins. These ruins included rock art that may have dated back to over a thousand years B.C. During the night the weather changed with strong winds that blew sand into my tent. In the morning, the ground and our tents were covered with a thin layer of snow.
