On Thursday, I took my Mom for a drive to Marin County. We drove up Mount Tamalpais with its sweeping views high above the Pacific and the Bay Area. We drove down to the coast and had lunch in the community cafe of the counter culture beach town of Bolinas. The restaurant was quaint with surfing and fishing decorations and locals eating inside. There was a small elderly woman inside with old worn clothes, burlap sacks tied to her legs, a hat made of rolled-up newpapers, and black shoe polish on her nose. Obviously, a professional beach comber.
